BRIEF INTRODUCTION

My name is Rob. I am a developer living in Richmond Va. Below is a brief timeline of events about me.

  1. 1983: Born in Richmond, Va
  2. 2001: Graduated High School
  3. 2002: Started military service with basic training and job training in Missouri
  4. 2003: Called to active duty
  5. 2005: Returned home from active duty
  6. 2005: Started attending ECPI
  7. 2006: Started writing code
  8. 2007: Graduated from ECPI
  9. 2007: Honorable discharge from military
  10. 2007: Moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina
  11. 2010: Got married in Arequipa, Peru
  12. 2011: Moved to Arequipa, Peru
  13. 2013: Returned to US
  14. Today: Living the good life in Midlothian VA with my family

What I do
I am a developer learning every day. I attempt to master all aspects of web, mobile and app development. This includes server setup and configuration, server side development including public and private API design, development and implementation. Other aspects include interactive front end websites that consume APIs and range in size from enterprise apps to single page apps. I also design and develop relational databases and utilize the technologies that interface the database with the code. I implement processes to track all of these changes using version control systems and setup / configure build and deployment software.

Back End

My experience in back end development is primarily focused towards designing and developing data driven API's, processes, tools and applications. It also includes integrating API's and getting servers, builds and deployments up and running.
